In my opinion kitties rarely if ever ...no never really have your back though that is wishful thinking.I would more likely guess that your cat who is a member of the evil master race is using its psychic vampire powers to drain life energy of her unsuspecting co-owner while she sleeps.
I would agree that cats are evil in general and as such part of a counter-culture master race. Kitties, however, are the nice cuddly pre-evil variety of the feline race.
Kitty is just starting to show her evil ways.
But she will still always love her ma-ma.
