Old School Ann Arbor

Rooting around in the library of congress, I found the map room. This map dated 1880, of Ann Arbor was hand drawn and AMAZING in its detail. Here you can see campus, Washtenaw does not quite meet Liberty, and there is North, South, East and West University streets that don’t seem to exist anymore, anyway I dig this old stuff. Many of the important buildings were numbered and called out in a legend on the bottom. (23. is listed as "university hall" and 31 is "museum of art and history". Old and cool, how awesome is that. Not to mention that I used a library for the first time in years, albeit digital.
