After the Park, Barb and I got a little quality time to go to downtown Ann Arbor. After a great dinner at Real Seafood. We walked round a little.

Several shops later, we found our selves at the Nickels Arcade. Walking around we really had a great time.

Later we passed by these banks near corner of Washington and Main where new met old in this reflection shot. (right after Kilwins and 12 truffles later)

Finally we walked by the old Hertler Brothers building. Don’t look now but the city was showing its roots.

Chip

This evening I left work early, and went to the park. I looked over at the fencepost and there was this chipmunk staring at me. This little guy let me snap a picture before he ran off.

Brave little fella did not even move when Tanner came running up.

Not sure if he was really brave or just waiting for me to get the picture.

This Weekend Destination: Put In Bay OH

Today, I went to Put-in-Bay Ohio for breakfast. This little gem of an island in the middle of Lake Erie is a well know boater party haven. Flying in is a much different game.

I have not gone there in years, and it was awesome. My friend Ron and I rented a golf cart, cruised into town and had a great breakfast.

Then we drove around the island for a while and hopped back in the plane and were back before lunch.

The Sky Was Bright This Morning

This morning I had to pick my mom up at the dealer, and right in front was a new Sky.

Pretty nice looking, I must admit.

Personally I would wait for the redline to come out. I the salesman that jumped me first only had a vague idea when it was coming, if it was the same engine with a turbo charger, or a lager displacement model.

I would make a better salesman and I don’t even work there.

More Missing Ash Trees

The Parrot looks a lot different than it used to
now that the city took the ash trees that were in front of it.

What would the Lorax say?

Photo cred to “thewretched”

Cool Gear- B91 Wraith Motorcycle

In a world of more and more outlandish bikes, this Wraith by Confederate Motor Company is bad ass. Don’t talk my word for it here is what they have to say:

Confederate Motor Company announces the first machine to be launched on our new "B" platform architecture- the B91 Wraith. As always, Confederate machines represent the finest in materials, componentry, and performance for the uncompromising enthusiast.
Available for delivery on October 31, 2005.

I like it because it is retro and modern all at once. They always said “The south shall rise again!”

Neighborhood Kitty

Here you see the Neighborhood cat.

I say the neighborhood cat because everyone in the neighborhood knows, if you leave your door open she will walk right in. No one seems to know where she really lives. I don’t think she really has any idea either.

Dune Buggy

Today Beth from A2 Auto Glass stopped by the office today with this crazy dune buggy.

Tanner thought it was the coolest thing this side of snausages and jumped in and helped herself to the passenger seat like it was her own. Pretty good trick because the doors don’t open so she Dukes of Hazzard’d right over the side.

Stop Screwing Off

Those silly Japanese, always telling us what to do.

Somehow something got lost in translation.

Thanks to Engrish.com.

Further Proof

I live in hell...

Or at least near hell.

Hell Michigan, that is...

Honestly a trip to hell right now seems like a welcome break from my usual day.

(sigh)

Tanner In The Deep Brush

Tanners tail goes up as she catches the sent of her “bird” on the wind through the tall grass.

It never ceases to amaze me, how good she is…

I have had several compliments this week, how good of a dog, how well behaved, what a good girl Etc. from complete strangers. Strangers only catching a glimpse of her and I as she worked around the park like and old game between friends.

If they only knew…

You Know Your Smarter Than IT When…

They send you a 5mp camera to replace your outdated no longer supported 2mp camera and…

To make up for the small internal memory and lack of memory cards, the brilliant solution they come up with?

Change the resolution to VGA so you actually have 5 times the capacity of the old camera with ½ the memory.

BRILLIANT… why didn’t I THINK OF THAT!

I mean forget that VGA resolution sucks ass, I mean SUCKS ASS. I could DRAW a picture better than 640x480. My camera phone is 2mp. I could take a picture through a coke bottle and get better resolution.

So just to re-cap, send me a better, more expensive camera, then cut the quality of the pictures by about ¼ …

BRILLIANT!

Yesterday: 06-06-06

Not to give creditability to all those alarmists out there, but yesterday was truly a bad day for some. This last several days have not been much better.

Take my friend Paul D… while out on a leisurely jaunt from work wound up with a spare tire on his windshield. I am talking a full size pickup spare mind you….

Here is what he had to say about it….

”Here is one for the blog. Make sure you mention that the guy had the nerve to ask me if I saw where his tire ended up.

If you look close on the hood, you can see where the tire spun across the top of the hood before it hit the windshield. The scuffs on the hood were all able to be rubbed off by hand.”

No injury mind you, and he walked away just a little startled as you might imagine. Try driving home like this.

Im pretty sure he is one lucky fellow. This week I have had someone roll there car down a mountain in Co and walk away, and another killed as he was hit by a passing car as he exited the vehicle. The latter was just a terrible tragedy, which had a family connection to yours truly. I can still not believe it.

No Degree of Seperation: Vincent D'Onofrio.

Holy shit...

I just realized that Private Pyle, Detective Goram and the Creepy evil guy from “The Cell” are all Vincent D'Onofrio.

I Hate Association Politics

Because of an errant Ash Tree at the condo… that had to be removed, I was required to fill out an Landscape Modification Request for a new tree.

I drew this little sketch, for the landscape committee to see what location that I would like for them to consider granting my replacement request. I cut and pasted it right onto the form.

I hope my new tenants appreciate that I groveled on their behalf for a little bit of shade.

Its Sunny Out There Somewhere

Stuck at work way to long today.

Here is a view up and out of one of the skylights at work.

Its way to nice out to be in here.
