An inquisitive Jarrod

Overlooks the table to get a peek at the tablet as snap a covert picture of him.

Harrington out....Lions win.

All of a sudden out of no-where the Lions got a new quarter back an a new winning disposition. Garcia looked so good, he pulled the rest of the team out of the crapper and into the win column.

The wolverines won as well in another nail biting overtime thriller…making it a banner weekend overall.

Today at the park...

It’s a long walk around the park, this long stretch caught my eye with all the orange bushes.

My weekend project...

OK i am done painting for the year. Just in time for the snow to start flying.

My My My… Mario manages a miracle.

In the most knock down drag out adrenalin pumping, breath holding edge of you seat gripping last second victory and possibly one of the best college games of all time, Michigan stunned Penn State and EVERYONE with a pass to Mario Manningham with no time left on the clock.

Suffice it to say that it was amazing… 4 lead changes in the last quarter and to win like that, just crazy .

As for the Lions… well with 20 seconds left they could not pull it off and they lost to the Panthers by one stinking point. Oh well you cant win them all.

The reason they call it "Fall"

Willamina

Here is my new niece, just a couple of days old. I finally got to hold her and she almost opened her eyes for me a couple of times. Very cute all wrapped up like a little papoose.

Below, Gabriel proud big brother looked on.

Spiderweb in the Sun

I caught this web on my neighbors little cedar tree row that divides our yards. I almost walked right into it as you could not see it from straight on… but from an angle with the afternoon sun shining on it, the web was really eye catching.

Future Pilot

While his new baby sister was still in the hospital with mom (both doing fine), Gabriel took some time w/ me to change every dial in the small plane. He was very excited to tell me about his new sister and how he gets to meet her tomorrow.

Weekend football update

OH Lloyd... what is going on?

Mr. Carr that sound you are looking for over your shoulder yeah, that’s the sound of the season going down the toilet. Who needs that old brown jug anyway, it was getting musty sitting in that trophy case for all those years. Besides a little road trip to Minnesota is good for ones constitution.

And by the way, the Lions; In a total role reversal the Lions Won. I don’t know when it happened but I must have slipped into a parallel universe. One where the Lions win and the Wolverines loose.

OK I am not complaining I like the lions to win. Sure the Ravens had to almost explode in the end of the third quarter (probably one of my favorite quarters of all time BTW) and losing two yes two players (Terrell Suggs and B J Ward) by ejection? Classic.

But that’s not the best part, with Detroit’s win and Chicago’s loss that puts the lions alone atop the NFC North. OK who took my reality and replaced it with this?

Fall Colors

Today I took the small plane to MIO for Breakfast with Ron, Jarrod, and Bart.

It was beautiful day, and north of Saginaw, the colors were starting to show.

Tanner at the new office

Tanner decided that the new office means she deserves a new bed and promptly turned her nose up at the old one and would no longer use it.

Here she is on her new replacement, taking her mid-morning after breakfast, pre-lunch power nap.

Et tu...Phoney

A certain phone company and reseller of phone service kind of let me down today...

When I say “kind of” I mean a complete and utter betrayal of my confidence hitting me where it most. That is at the new office.

This phone company, lets say they rhyme with T D es, turned the simplest task into an all day affair crippling me and grinding things to an complete stop with what only can be described as one of most monumental boneheaded moves of all time history.

I mean this bunch of turd herding bungle brains really showed me what a collective group of moron mind midgets could really do when they put there brains to it. “It” being I have no idea what because it certainly was not the problem at hand, not to mention the lighting fast response to fix the problem once identified whew… it boggles the mind.

It makes you want to go back to the old tin can and string method and stay there.

I am sure old Alex Bell never saw this coming.

OMG

OMG

After Michigan pulled one out of the crapper and won on Saturday, you just had that feeling that the Lions would pull off the win as well. After all as one friend pointed out lately when the Michigan wins, so have the lions.

This of course is no small feet with UofM’s rollercoaster year. But this… this was just too much. I mean you tell me.

Was this indisputable video evidence that Marcus Pollard was out of bounds when he caught this ball?

I mean no big deal if you judge this wrong I mean its only the game, the hopes and dreams of thousands of fans. Forget the kids that will grow up not knowing their cities professional team actually could have a decent season. Not to mention the people who make there living from the team, the players the vendors, the fans. Sure the call on the field was a touchdown and sure you sit up there with you little monitor all omnipotent not caring whose life you destroy with your seemingly random and indiscriminant application of the rules.

I mean its only a game after all.

Tanner

Emerges with the ball, from the brush. Throwing a tennis ball into waste deep brush is not really much of a challenge. She could smell out a particular grain of sand on any given beach.

She is such a good girl.

The other night at Dan's...

One of the local haunts, Dan's.

Its always good place to see some of the local fauna.

I emailed this picture to my friend in Cali. who text me back a reminder that even cerveza tastes better in the land of milk and honey.
